The Jamaica Promotional Company was formed almost twenty years ago with the intention of providing quality entertainment within theWashington Metropolitan area. Entertainment included disc jockey competitions, soccer tournaments, fashion, and reggae shows. The original members of the group were George Daley, Jackie Asher/Davy, Eric McNish and Carlos Daley. Most members were graduates of Howard University.

Some of the events that took place included CHARLES HYATT, Miss LOU, FANTAN MOJAH, MERRITONE, LEROY  SIBBLES, KEN BOOTHE,  GLAMOUR WAYNE,  WAYNE WONDER, GHOST, FABULOUS FIVE, RENNASANCE, AFRIQUE, and ROAD INTERNATIONAL. The group has change over the years, with some members moving back to Jamaica. The remaining members are Carlos Daley and new inductee, also a Howard university graduate Elaine Daley. We decided to do the Jamaica day reggae festival to fill a void within the Washington Metropolitan area as there are no such programs. We want to thank Barbara Daley,Jennifer O'brian,Patrick Daley,George Daley and Kamau McNish for their invaluable and selfless assistance to jamaica Day Reggae Festival.

Jamaica Promotional Company just staged the first annual patented reggae idol competition and is already planning for next year event. Part proceed from the concert will be going towards the Jamaica education for the poor foundation in Kingston Jamaica. The Jamaica Reggae Day festival will feature ALTON ELLIS, LEROY SIBBLES, PROFESSOR NUTS, ADMIRAL  BAILEY, VC, WINSTON BLAKE, AFRIQUE, GLAMOUR WAYNE  and  many others. Patrons should expect an exciting and therapeutic performance from the artiste and disc jockeys.
